Busy weekend

My sweet 4 year old is 5. Her birthday was on the 8th, but we were in Canada, so we celebrated her birthday on Saturday with a fun party at the near by park.

She asked for a princess castle cake. Here is the first step. She wasn't seeing the vision.

The next step in the decorating process. Keileigh wasn't very sure at this point. She liked the purple frosting, but wasn't seeing the whole picture

She was liking the HoHo's. The more frosting the better. The vision is becoming clearer. And now...drumroll please:)

The princesses are in!!

She loved it!! The vision was complete.

Should I add cake decorating to my list of interests? No, not really. I will do it for my kids/extra kids, but I don't think it would be for a living.

Now, just for your own enjoyment, a picture of the oldest of my children, or husband, sometimes I forget which. He's just a big kid at heart:

We had a great day!! Most importantly, she did. I would post more party pictures, but I don't know how the other parents would feel about their child's picture on the web.

Oh! I almost forgot, the cake was a big hit!!

I don't know what seems to happen when I publish. It does not appear the same as the preview of the post!!

Wow that is some cake! Who wouldn't love that - well done.
My family is doing good, but my Mam is in hospital with pneumonia since we came home :-( You can read about it at my daily blog -

We're hoping she's out by the weekend.
I love your skirts and aprons. I want to make some aprons, but I've packed my new sewing machine away until I get my spare/guest room organized!

I wish I could tell you what the problem might be with your layout but I'm not sure why it's doing that :(
